• Position Description:
• Position exits for Thumbli Aquifer study and monitoring. A water field has been identified and five high capacity water wells are going to drilled in 2009. After development of water well field, there will need of constant monitoring of aquifer behavior and aquifer de-saturation (land subsidence) to comply and satisfy the regulator and stakeholders on any negative impact of abstraction on limited fresh water aquifer. Model needs regular revision with changing dynamic stresses to the aquifer system. This has increased the additional work load. Now the budgeted position required to be filled up.
• Position Requirements:
• Education and Relevant Experience
• Master degree in earth science with specialization in Hydrogeology;
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in hydrogeology;
• A proven experience in water well drilling and supervision;
• Technical competence in hydrogeology directly applicable to site characterization, groundwater management; A sound understanding of various aquifer characterization methods, well field design, water quality assessments, modeling techniques and drilling techniques is required;
• A proven knowledge / experience in flow and contaminant transport modeling;
• A proven skill in building relationships with multiple stakeholders is required;
• Business Understanding
• Relevant understanding of Oil and Gas Industry, with emphasis on water related issues.
