Walk-In-Interview for Scientist 'B'-Jobs in National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research, Goa
The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), an Autonomous Society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, is looking for prospective candidates for filling up the following positions under the project "Swath bathymetric Surveys of EEZ". The positions are purely temporary on contract basis under the project mode, initially for a period of one year. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions are invited to attend the walk-in-interview at NCAOR on 10.08.2010 (Tuesday) (from 9.00 AM onwards)
1. Research Scientist 'B'- 03 Posts
Essential:
(i) Master's degree in Geophysics / Geology / Chemistry / Physics / Marine Sciences / Physical Sciences etc.
(ii) 2 years research experience preferably in Geophysical / Geological / Marine Science related field.
Desirable:
(i) Ph.D in the relevant field.
(ii) Experience in geophysical/ bathymetry data acquisition, processing & analysis.
(iii) Experience in Sedimentological /geochemical analysis of marine sediments.
Job responsibilities -To play an active role in work program related to the project: participation in scientific cruises:
marine data acquisition processing & interpretation.
Total Emoluments ( Rs ) -Rs.28,560/- pm (likely to be revised upwards)
