-For JRF-First class in M.Sc./M.Tech Geology/ Geophysics/ Physics/ Computer Science

Scholarship Description: Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology is an autonomous research organization under Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, undertaking advance level of research in all aspects of the geophysics and geodynamics of Himalaya. It has strong specialization in the areas of Seismology. The Institute has established a VSAT linked Seismic network for on-line seismic data recording and state-of-the-art Multi-Parametric Geophysical Observatory (MPGO) for earthquake precursory research in integrated manner. The Institute also houses modern analytical laboratories. To encourage young students/ researches to make career in earth sciences, the Institute has doctoral program and offers Research Associate ships to fresh Ph.D. To promote research in emerging areas of earth sciences, the Institute also undertakes sponsored projects.
