Junior Geologist (Vancouver based)
Position Summary: Working with a diverse team in the field, assisting for the geological definition and evaluation of the
project.
Through active participation ensure the Company's activities adhere to the
Responsible Mineral Development philosophy. Implement, enforce and support the highest standards
of health, safety & environmental management, local socio-economic interaction & corporate conduct.
Key Result Areas & Specific Responsibilities:
Geological Sampling
• Assist in the execution of exploration plans through:
- Geological and metallurgical core logging,
- Geotechnical logging, &
- Surface sampling;
• Participate in (when required, supervision of) drilling programs and field mapping; and
• Participate in (when required, supervision of) geochemical and geophysical surveys.
Data Management & Reporting
• Assist in the production of technical reports;
• Preparation of maps;
• Maintain the quality and integrity of the geological models and databases;
• Provide assistance and technical support for exploration drilling activities; and
• Evaluation of data.
Other
• When required, act as onsite Occupational First Aid Attendant; and
• Participate and contribute in special projects and other related duties as required.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications, Skills & Experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geological Engineering; and
• Minimum of 4-6 years experience in the field.
Characteristics &/or Physical requirements.
• Strong software skills in geological modeling software, databases and MS Office;
• Exceptional organization, communication and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving abilities
• An ability and desire to travel and work in different locations; and
• Ability to be flexible, and handle multiple priorities in team-based environment.
