advanced technical studies, projects and services for Shell around the world as well as supporting Shell activities in
India.
P&T provides access to cutting-edge talent and resources to Shell worldwide through its research and development
facilities in Bangalore. By the end of 2009, the Bangalore office has employed nearly 700 professionals. Shell Projects &
Technology, Bangalore, is currently recruiting experienced professionals to join the exciting phase of expansion it has
undertaken in India.
Responsibilities:
Undertake integrated reservoir studies to define future exploration and development opportunities and reserves
potential.
The work includes:
• Carry out core,sedimentological and reservoir geological characterization,correlation,sequence stratigraphy and
reservoir distribution and modelling studies and incorporate relevant aspects of other disciplines.
• Provide and integrate together with evaluation teams,sedimentological and reservoir geological input into Exploration
and Field Development Plans (FDP) and Reserve revisions
• Identify areas where the acquisition of additional reservoir geology data would reduce geological uncertainties and
liaise with the client to design/contribute to appropriate reservoir geology data acquisition programme
• Prepare comprehensive documentation and presentations
Requirements:
• Technical professional Reservoir Geologist with a PhD in sedimentology and preferably a 2-5 years industry experience
in reservoir geology.
• Skilled in sedimentology and reservoir geology, together with 3D static reservoir modeling. Working knowledge of both
carbonates and clastics is preferable.
• Experience using 3D modelling software e.g. Petrel, RMS, Gocad is an advantage.
• Well developed inter personal and presentation skills, good team player, enjoys working in multidisciplinary and
multicultural project teams.
• Drive, enthusiasm, an open mind and the wish to develop and share skills are important aspirations
