| Description | Pre-drill -Write Chapter 3 in DOP (drilling programme) -Get pore pressure and wellbore stability curves from Well GL -Get geological prognosis from Well gph -Get data acquisition plan from SOR2 document. Check agains SOR1 and review with Well GL -Liase with drilling engineer responsible for well. Discuss any issues -Liase with external suppliers of logging and coring equipment to check that tool setup is optimal. Set up a meeting if required with: -MWD supplier -Wireline supplier -Coring supplier -If coring, liase with Well Petrophysicist -Discuss well section with Wellsite Geologists prior to travelling offshore. Make sure they have all logs and information required. Operation -Book helicopters for Wellsite Geologists out to rig -Inform duty operations geologist what is expected of them in the coming week. They are on duty outside normal office hours. The Skarv Operations Geologist is normally on duty during office hours. -Check partners receiving correct daily reports -Attend drilling morning meetings, as appropriate -Inform subsurface department on progress and discuss any issues arising -Liase with Wellsite Geologists when offshore, together with the Duty Operations Geologist -Attend relevant RAP meetings in drilling department and contribute changes relevant to data acquisition and formation integrity. Post-drill -Save memory data, survey data and gas, ROP data to database (presently Documentum) and License-to Share -Co-ordinate writing of Final Geological report in Porter and Completion logs in Winlog. Arrange QC process of documents. General -Arrange wellsite geology and operations geology duty schedules |
| Requirements | Experience 10 yrs + Offshore (well site) and onshore operation experience required. |
