Conestoga-Rovers & Associates (CRA) is growing and we have an immediate opening for a Junior Geologist/Hydrogeologist in our Waterloo office, who aspires to become an active employee in a vibrant, well-established worldwide engineering, environmental, construction, and IT consulting firm.

Duties:
Field Work
- Assist in coordinating field activities
- Perform groundwater/ surface water sampling
- Assist with landfill inspections
- Drilling boreholes
- Preparing cost estimates and requests for upcoming jobs
Report Writing
- Edits/revisions to existing reports
- Update annual monitoring reports
- Assist in proposal writing
- Creating memos/data reports for clients
- Create field memos
- Assist in responding to client comments/requests
Analyzing Data
- Input laboratory results from sampling events
- Create data tables
- Creating figures and cross sections
- Interpreting analytical results/trends
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Geology related discipline is required (Environmental Science/ Earth Science) Eligibility for P.Geo is preferred
- 0 - 3 years experience
- HAZWOPER training is considered an asset
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organization skills is required
- Self starter, flexible, team player, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks
- Verbal communication is vital to this role in order to convey findings to clients and adjust scope of work accordingly
- Written communication is vital in order to complete required tasks requested by clients
