Due to the growth of our business we require site-based geotechnical staff at all levels to work from the following locations: Central London (Crossrail), South East England (Crayford), South West England (Clevedon), North West England (Wigan) and Scotland (Central Belt). Our specialist projects vary in scale, location and duration, so mobility, flexibility and commitment are absolute requirements. Key Activities: . Demonstrate high personal safety and environmental standards and support others in achieving the same. . Work within and lead site teams comprising fellow employees from a range of social and educational backgrounds. . Understand client and consultant needs, applying your geotechnical knowledge to 'value-engineer' their ground engineering problems. . Plan, manage and administer the technical and commercial delivery of ground engineering projects, achieving 'right first time' quality in a cost-effective manner. . Develop your professional skills and continuously seek innovation in the execution of project work. . Get involved with industry groups and local communities to foster understanding and enthusiasm for the work we do. Candidate Requirements Your Qualifications and Experience should be: . A demonstrable enthusiasm for civil engineering. . Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. . Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a geotechnical discipline. . Experience of UK construction health and safety practice. . Appreciation of the commercial environment of contracting. . Previous contracting experience is not essential but would be advantageous.
