Trainee Mud Logger
Brief Description:
The Trainee Mud Logging Geologist will understudy the job of a Mud Logging Geologist, and assist other well site personnel in the drilling operation by monitoring and recording drilling parameters, drilling fluid properties, pumping parameters, and by providing primary well control surveillance by plotting pressure trends. Part of the job of the trainee will be to provide sampling of the mud sample for analysis.
He/she will be assigned to work at the rig-site on a rotational basis.
Requirements:
- Candidates without previous Mud Logging related experience should be educated to the degree level with a strong background in Engineering / Sciences / Geology. Experience in the oil industry is preferable but not essential. Fresh Graduates are welcome as well.
- Candidates must have the aptitude to absorb a wide range of technical information including Geology, Chemistry, Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics and Computer Science.
- All Candidates must be proficient in English & with computers.
- All Candidates must also show excellent communication skill, highly motivated, flexible (highly mobile) and with long term commitment.
- Successful candidates who have passed the trainee phase, will be promoted to Mud Logging Geologists, and have a choice of career progression and development in the company.
