Reporting to the Principal Geologist, Data and Resources, the Resource Geologists will primarily be required to develop and produce resource estimates/evaluations, for both internal and external purposes (to JORC reporting standards). In this role you will be responsible for: The application of the health & safety system within all working areas Resource modelling using both parametric and non-parametric estimation techniques Monitoring and evaluating geological and assay data quality (QAQC) Providing guidance to field staff on sampling and data collection pertaining to resource estimation Liaising with field geologists to develop geological models Resource and Mine Production Reconciliation studies Evaluation of internal and external resource models Preparation of periodic operational reports as required Supervision of external consultants Preparation of geological diagrams/figures Preparation of annual and individual project work programs and budgets The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Geology with ideally 4 years experience in geological modelling, resource development and resource modelling with experience in exploration and/or an open-cut operation. Experience in a range of commodities including gold and copper estimation and mine reconciliation studies as well as a strong working knowledge of mining software packages such as Datamine, Supervisor and acQuire would be desirable.
