The Bridge Energy has been assigned by a world leading independent oil company to secure the hire of a Development Geologist Expert to work on expatriate status.

The experienced candidate will be the development geology expert at one the companies operated JV's. This JV presently produces 110,000 bopd and 850 mmscf/d. To support and grow the production base, the company maintains a very active exploration and development drilling program with numerous drilling and workover rigs.

This job position is responsible for providing geologic support needed to maintain an active development drilling and workover program. Responsibilities will include identifying and maturing drilling opportunities and supplying geologic support to prospecting efforts. This will include generating structural and reservoir maps, log correlations, static geologic models and volumetric calculations. The candidate should be able to integrate multiple types of data including seismic, log, and production data. Must be able to work well as part of a multi-cultural and multi-discipline team.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Generate drilling opportunities and evaluate risk and volumetric assessments.
Maintain field scale well correlations for use in mapping and the understanding of producing reservoirs.
Integrate geologic data with seismic interpretations.
Generate a variety of geologic maps (structure, reservoir, etc.).
Produce detailed 3D geologic models for use in development planning, volumetric assessments and reservoir simulation.
Oversight of geologic operations while drilling and logging wells (including logging quality control and log analysis / interpretation.
Effectively work as part of a team made up of geoscientists and reservoir engineers, drilling engineers and production engineers.

Candidate Requirements:
At ten to twenty years industry experience with some prior experience in either a major or mid-size E&P company
A track record of generating successful development drilling opportunities
Strong integration skills (seismic, log data, production data)
Experience with sedimentary facies and depositional analysis (including mapping)
Ability to utilize seismic data to aid in geologic interpretation
Experience generating static geologic models
Must have basic formation evaluation skills for clastic reservoirs.
Experience with reserve assessments
Ability to work within tight time-frame
Ability to work easily as part of a team (reservoir engineering, drilling, facilities) and interface effectively with national staff


Status: Staff Desired Skills/Experience: Proven successful track record with experience drilling wells and supporting an active drilling program is beneficial. Petrel proficiency and/or experience would be beneficial.
Required Qualifications: Advanced degree in Geology from Western Universities is preferred.
