A substantial opencut gold project in WA currently has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Mine Geologist to join their mine geology team.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Development of sound geological models for resource activities and grade control interpolations
- Delineation of new orebodies and extensions to current orebodies within the project area
- Supervision of the mine based geological team which will include Junior Mine Geologists and Geological Field Technicians
- Appropriately supervise drilling and mining contractors
- Deputise for the Geology Manager when they are off-site on alternate rosters
Operating on a FIFO 8/6 roster from Perth, you will work alongside a respected team of professionals on this highly regarded opencut gold project. Operating on a short FIFO roster with very short flight times, this is a great lifestyle opportunity coupled with abundant opportunities for progression and development in a rapidly expanding mid-tier miner. An attractive remuneration package including incentives is provided.
Ideally, you will be a tertiary qualified geologist with a strong track record in production roles within opencut or underground operations (e.g. 5+ years experience).
